Confirmation

St. John Neumann

Confirmation strengthens an individual in the gifts of the Holy Spirit received in Baptism, allowing one to live the gospel message with more conviction and to proclaim it to others. Together with Baptism and Eucharist, Confirmation is a sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church.

Confirmation Preparation

Confirmation Preparation begins in Grade 5 with the presentation of the Bible to all our potential candidates. Preparation involves catechesis, Christian service, journal and a retreat experience accompanied with rituals celebrated within the parish community. The sacrament will normally be conferred in the Fall of the 9th Grade year with the summer of 8th grade being a time of immediate preparation. Confirmation Service and Retreat Permission forms for 2012 may be accessed below.
